It can be very easy to get the urge to add to your family, with an addition of a new little puppy, and more often than not it may be the case of the person wanting this initially is likely to be a younger member of the family, which could mean they have no financial means to cover the ongoing unexpected costs that come with this little package.
For example, after the initial payout for the puppy, which we all know, can now be in the thousands, can then in reality cost hundreds more if the unfortunate happens, and their is illness, accidents, or defects, that the vet has to deal with, none of this is cheap at all. It could run into high amounts depending on the surgery, treatments etc.
So, we must take this into consideration, before rushing into the actual purchase of an adorable bundle of fun! Fine if you are able to meet the costs without it burning a hole in your pocket, but do be aware of ongoing costs if you are seriously thinking of getting a dog.
However, it still is an exciting, wonderful time, so taking all that into consideration enjoy the experience.
