My vet says if your Chihuahua/ Dog/ Cat swallows anything harmful like poison or in my case Plasticine, You must pour Hydrogen Peroxide down their throat to induce vomiting.

I've heard cases of Chihuahuas being SAVED after swallowing silica gel and rat poison by trusty ol' Hydrogen Peroxide.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE list below all other NON harmful liquids that can induce vomiting as not everyone has Peroxide to hand.

Hi Chi-Made, Thankyou for this alarming post, as it has brought this issue to the front of my attention, in which i need to do some research on this, as i had NO inclination that Hydrogen Peroxide was used for this situation, therefore at this stage i can't comment on it.

Also it will be very informative to find out what other remedies can be used. The only solution that i have heard of concerning this of absorbing any toxins is liquid charcoal, which is apparently effective.

I would advise at this stage that any emergency, would be to involve the veterinary services.
Anyone with any known friendly remedies, would be appreciated if posted here, thankyou.

Regards
Sarah

Now I know why this thread is sticky. Thanks for the information. I would be glad to know more about first aid.
