I dropped my chi off @ the vet this morning at 8:30am. They told me they would call when she was ready and I could pick her up around 5:30 or 6:00. After not hearing from them ALL day I finally decided to call @ 6:15 only to reach they're answering machine. So obviously they kept her over night. My concern is her well being. Apparently there is no one on staff caring for as they are not a 24 hour facility. I feel so bad wondering if she's ok. Again, I didn't hear from anyone all day!! Is this pretty normal/typical? I don't want to overreact tomorrow when I go get her, but I am a little upset that no one eve contacted me to let me know if she was even doing ok. WHAt DO YOU THINK? Thank you.

Hello Dbass, sorry to hear about your chi, it is very distressing leaving them, and more so at the vets surgery.   I would be totally stressed too, and would of been trying to contact them constantly, even though i think they should be contacting us, there is no way of making them do so, it can be a luck thing if you get vet clinics that do that.
It should be a courteous matter for them to do so.

I hope everything turns out well for you and your chi, take care  Smiley

I would be stressed too if that happened to my Chi. They should have called you and updated you of your dog's condition. My reply is really late and I hope you got your dog fine now.
