by the way, what is really weird is that she just had the puppy a few hours ago.....i thought that most animals didnt leave their babies for around the 1st 24 hrs?

well thats actually part of the weirdness......she is more than happy to pay all the attention in the world to the puppy, including feeding it.....just as long as it is on our bed. she doesnt want anything to do with it unless it is on our bed.....she will jump in the box every now and then to check on it but only for a couple of seconds....when it gets hungry, we have to take the pup out of the box and put it on the bed so it could eat....we even had to put hot water bottles under the blankets in the box so it would stay warm....my concern is this....while we're sleeping i dont want her to try to move it, like she has a couple of times because she keeps hurting it, because she cannot seem to pick it up right.....in the past few hours since she has had the puppy, she is however doing better with staying in the box.....so maybe she just needs to warm up to being a new mommy ......ill post pictures as soon as i figure out how lol
